This color lithograph is a testament to the cunning characteristics of the mind...
One of the first truths that you encounter on the spiritual path is that you are not your mind.
You are the one “behind” all of the thoughts, beliefs and stories…
....the one experiencing all of this right now; the perceiver of reality, the perceiver of the body that you "inhabit", and the knower of thoughts.
After seeing through the illusory and often negative nature of the mind for the first time, it's natural to start wanting to stop thinking.
But you see, another simple truth is that what you resist persists, and this applies to thoughts as well.
So what is there to do?
STOP TRYING AND JUST BE. Just let the thoughts be there.
Once you accept that they are there and just doing their own thing, independent of you, you'll find that they actually lose their staying power, because you aren't focusing all your attention on them anymore.
When we transcend the mind, we are free to move forward through life from a place of grounded stillness, clarity and peace in every moment.

This lithograph was first carefully drawn onto a piece of limestone using a gum resist and rubbing crayon method.
It then endured a chemical process that produced a permanent impression of the image on the stone.
Ink was then applied to the stone using a roller, and the image was transferred onto paper using a lithography press.
This is a varied edition. This means that due to the hand-made nature of this work, each print is slightly different.
This is indicated on the print next to the edition number with a VE. (See images for examples of slight print differences.)
To ensure safe delivery, this print is shipped (unmounted) in a clear, waterproof sleeve.
This print ships flat, secured between stiff cardboard and inside of a padded envelope.
